To that end, I haven’t stopped making music either. The next album is well underway. As a matter of fact, I just finished a track last night, and I’m very proud of it. The lessons that I’ve been learning on mixing and mastering are coming together very nicely, and this will be reflected on all the new music that I put out.
The rebranding is almost complete. Three of my albums are now at distribution awaiting the artist name change, and after that, it’ll be smooth sailing.
And with that, here is the fifth track, titled Never Let Go, off the new album Eternity.
Here is the fourth track, titled Ocean of Inspiration, off the new album Eternity.
Continuing with a song a week, here is track 3 from Eternity. The title is You and I.
Here is the second track, titled Rise, off the new album Eternity.
Thought you all might like a listen. This is the first track, titled Prevail, from the new album Eternity.
May 30th is a very special day to me. It’s the day that my new album Eternity becomes available worldwide. It’s a time for me to think in retrospect, about all the adversity, sadness, the yearning; yet, it is a time to reflect upon the happiness, the success, and the hope that exists in each one of our lives.
When things settled down, and I got a chance to get back into the studio, time stood still; I realized that my Dad wasn’t with us anymore. So I wrote this song for him. This composition captures the spectrum of raw emotions that I experienced while I created it.
The name of this song is My Dad, which is 우리 아빠 in Korean. It is track 11 off my new album Eternity.
I hope my Dad would be proud of this song. I certainly am, and I hope you will be too.
Some people asked for the tracklisting on the new album Eternity. Well, here it is:
- You and I
- Ocean of Inspiration
- Never Let Go
- Above the Stars
- Overwhelming Beauty
- Blossom of Eternity
- 530 Reasons
- Our Dad
Once again, you can listen to preview clips of all the songs here.
As noted in one of my previous posts, my new album Eternity has been sent off to distribution and is slated for worldwide release on May 30, 2017.
You can listen to a preview of all the songs on Eternity here.
I’ve been creating music using my synth workstation, the Yamaha Motif XS 8, for the past 7 years. It has served me well. I’ve learned the ins and outs of creating, meshing, and melding the sounds to get the exact reflection of what I feel, and to date I’ve been able to do just that without any external plugin or other instrument.
As with anything, you gradually outgrow the capabilities that you start with. Now begins the most radical shift in my music creation.
My signature sound is and always be a Yamaha, whether it be a C7 or a CFIII. How I arrive at that sound, however, will change. I have been vetting a number of powerful plugins that will truly usher my music into a new chapter, and eliminating my biggest obstacle: the dreaded polyphony.
6 tracks have already been laid for the new album. I may just shorten it rather than create a standard album of 10+ tracks and call it a release as-is, because I plan to build a full, proper studio to compliment my shift in music. This will ensure that you and I get nothing but the best, and that you hear exactly what the true nature and feeling of what I intend you to hear. This is what I call “growing the music”.
The wait will be worth it, so just have a little more patience. Great things coming soon. Don’t forget to listen to all my music here, and if you like it buy it, and let your friends listen too!
Until next time!
